I have completed one semester of seminary, amazing.

Donna Gerold: Austin, Texas; I moved to Austin in August 2010 to pursue a Masters of Divinity degree at Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest. After many years of being actively engaged with the Episcopal Church as a lay person, I answered a call to pursue ordained ministry. It is the most exciting time of my life. I am making the transition from a self supporting outside sales person to an impoverished seminarian! I will be here for three years studying, exploring, learning, practicing and doing things I have dreamed of and some I will be surprised at! I am READY... I decided to call myself "Holy Cowgirl" because a friend heard of my new life and said to me "so I hear you are going to be a cowgirl priest!" Yep, that sounds like a perfect nickname for me and my new life. It will be 2013 before I am a cowgirl priest but for now I can be a "holy cowgirl".
